Aionos - An African-Futurist Mixed Reality Production where Ancient Egypt meets Star Wars as you travel virtual worlds to help an Egyptian Queen heal a broken love and navigate spacetime to recover an ancient technology. This unique hybrid theatrical experience in VR, streaming, and in-person will take you across time, space, and the metaverse in a collaboration between Toasterlab, Debbie Deer Productions, and Immersive actor/director/designer Ari Tarr. Aionos brings live and remote actors and audiences together for an unforgettable adventure in a companion piece to Debbie Deer’s Nefertiti: The One Who Comes.
Before purchasing an Online or VR ticket, please take note of the following When you purchase your ticket, you will be given access to Toasterlab’s Discord server where you will find support from the Aionos team to make sure you have the best experience. The company are located primarily in Toronto, Canada, so we suggest logging onto the server as soon as you can, and appreciate your patience with replies due to availability and time differences
To view the VR experience from your home, you will need your own Meta Quest 2. If you’re in Edinburgh or Toronto, Toasterlab may be able to help arrange one for you to use (limited to one per location per performance). If interested, purchase your online ticket and message the team on their Discord to discuss arranging the use of a provided headset.
